Just Too Cute

Christmas is NEXT WEEK! Next Saturday to be precise!!! The festive atmosphere is at full swing now. I can hear my neighbour blasting Christmas Carols every night. I'm not complaining... (: haha. Done with Christmas shopping yet? LoL

Get Up and Go, Go, Go!

I've been feeling a 'lil bit under the weather this past few days. Maybe it's due to my lack of physical activity. I noticed that all I've been doing for the past couple of weeks is sit in front of the computer, eat, sit in front of the computer, eat, sleep. Not exactly a very healthy lifestyle. And definitely not a lifestyle I want to keep. 

So I decided that today..Enough is enough! I should be exercising today!!! So off I went for a brisk walk. Just for half an hour. I reckon it's not long enough or vigorous enough to burn some fats along the way. But heck, it's a start! :D I actually feel better now. Better 'cos I don't feel so guilty being such a lazy arse. hehe. 

Now I'm here, in front of my laptop blogging with a cup of honey&lemon. Apparently honey&lemon soothes the soar throat. I'm still waiting. Patiently. Not feeling the slightest improvement yet. Grrrrr! 

Ok, here's a sponge cake with lemon butter cream and mixed berries I prepared a couple of days ago. Just to get in the mood for Christmas! :D It was from a recipe my cousin passed me. It's pretty yumms I can tell you. The picture doesn't do it justice. Blame the photographer! Eeks! That means, there's only me to be blamed! *shy* haha

See why I need some form of exercise now? LoL

Save or Splurge?

That's what I always ask myself when I'm about to purchase something. 

Sometimes, making a decision takes forever. I've learned to ask myself this question at least 10 times before I walk to the counter (if in a shop) or click checkout (for online shopping). All in the hopes of spending wisely. 

Lately, I've been thinking of getting a Twilly. A narrow scarf which can be used as a hair accessory or a scarf around your neck. Hermes has been famous for its Twillys. I, for one, cannot resist it at the moment.

Friendship Bracelet

I'm sure most of you have made and received this when you were young. (: 

I remember making and collecting friendship bracelets back when I was in Standard 5 (Year 5). Talk about childhood memories. haha. Sweet. (:

Anyway, I found out about the Friendship Bracelet Project through Gracie a couple of days ago. Immediately, I wanted to be part of this project. Basically, this project is about making friendship bracelets for kids in Uganda. These kids are not as fortunate as you and me. Most of them have perhaps not received any presents/ gifts. 

Thus, making these friendship bracelets for them would put a smile on their faces! :D At the same time, you'll also be spreading some love. So why not join in?

These simple bracelets are so easy to make. If I (a-not-very-creative-artsy-person), can make one, so can you! The strings needed to make these are inexpensive. Plus, it wouldn't take too much of your time. C'mon people..I know most of you are having a very long summer break. :P

Finally!

It's finally Friday! woot! I'm so happy the weekend is here again. This means that I can sleep in, drink tea, read magazines and books, watch movies/ dramas and do anything and everything relaxing. Such bliss! (:

I just painted my nails with this favourite colour of mine. The light pink isn't too OTT (over the top). It's actually a very sweet and lady-like shade of pink (: 

Return To Tiffany Pendant

I've been having this Tiffany&Co pendant for around 10 months now. Ever since I got it, I've been wearing it everyday. Since my name is also Tiffany, some people think it's my name tag. haha. Due to sweat and water, this piece of silver jewellery has been tarnished. :S As you can see.. It's not shiny anymore :( Maybe it's time for me to send my necklace in for some polishing work. 

My 2011 Planner

I've been looking for a planner the past few weeks. It's actually pretty useful for uni. Since I'll be challenging myself with taking 2 Finance subjects next semester, I anticipate a crazy every-other-week-test schedule. Reckon a planner would be essential for me to mark down reminders to help me stay on top of things. This Kikki.k planner is so cute. Look at the pages inside! So colourful, fun and pretty. The size is also not too big. Perfect for throwing it into my handbag. (:

Piggy Bank!

My very own piggy bank. haha If you're wondering..No, I didn't get that for myself. My parents and brother thought that someone should buy me a piggy bank as a reminder to save. They just love making me sound pathetic! LoL

So the brother said "There you go.. Save up to buy whatever you want and stop making me buy them for you". Hah! You're so smart! But c'mon, that's part of the perks of being the baby of the family! :P

So I'm pretty pumped up about getting my piggy bank filled up. Now I just need some motivation to do it... What do you think I should save up for? :P I'm still thinking about it...

 I'll start with putting in a dollar (of coins) a day. (: Hopefully I'll stick to it! 

Seriously this piggy bank looks so funny. And mind you, it's porcelain and it's huge.

When I Put My Make Up On...

I rarely put make-up on. I always thought and still think that it's pretty unnecessary for uni. Haha. Laugh at me. I'm not a cosmetic freak. But yes, I still put on some face powder and lipgloss when I go to uni. I don't exactly turn up bare faced. LoL.

But since I can't turn up au naturale every morning now, I've to smack on some make-up. Which means, I take another 15-20 minutes extra to get ready. Not a good thing when I'm rushing actually. So, here's what I've been using for the past 2 days. 

1. Big Beautiful Eyes by Benefit.

Using the fish eye effect

It comes with a base shadow, couture shadow and liner shadow. The best thing is, this eye kit comes with a concealer. I need to hide those eye bags! *cries*

2. Waterproof Eyeliner (Benefit) and MagnaScopic Mascara (Estee Lauder)

Using pin hole effect

Hmm...I'm still pretty bad with the eyeliner business. My hands are pretty shaky and I hate the idea of poking a pencil so near my eyes! I try to avoid using the eyeliner as much as I can. I use the liner shadow as a replacement (that's cos I use a brush for the liner shadow). The mascara is pretty good. I didn't realize my eyelashes could be made visible. LoL

3. Dandelion face powder by Benefit

Pin hole effect

This is a pinkish powder which can be used as a blusher as well. The best thing is it smells really nice! 

4. Gloss Fluo by Chanel or Lip Butter by Palmer's

Using Pop Art

I use either one. The colour of the lipgloss looks pretty far out. But when applied, it doesn't have the bright-shocking-pink colour. Trust me. I've been using this for the whole of last semester and none of my friends complained. haha. If you don't like coloured lipgloss, Palmer's Lip Butter should be your choice. I love my lip butter just 'cos it's flavoured. Dark Chocolate and Peppermint. Yumm.. My favourite ice cream flavour! :P

I snapped these pictures using a new digital camera I found lying around the house. It's been here since June, but no one noticed its existence. haha. So I decided to own it now. I've been exploring its effects and such. It has the fish-eye effect! Hmmm... Looks like I don't need a lomo camera now. :P

I want to wear this. 

What goes with it? Hmmm...

On a totally different note, I've found some Aussie bloggers who are into snail-mailing. Maybe I should start letter-writing soon!

First Day and Time for Everything

I survived the day! Don't worry, I didn't do much today. Sat down and read up work manuals. Haha. But somehow, it was draining. 

I came home hungry and sleepy. Kicked off my heels and ran to the kitchen. Guess what I found? I bowl of mango-fresh prawns- lettuce salad! Made by the brother. Yummmm... Reminds me of Victoria Station! They call it prawn cocktail there if I'm not mistaken. So I just grabbed a fork and started diggin' in. More than halfway in, the brother came in and said "Ooiii.. Don't finish everything!" haha. Gotta love the brother sometimes. :P

Now I'm craving for some macarons! 

Can you get me a box of these? Now?

Went for some macarons last weekend with Rachel. It was fun fun fun. Sadly, no pictures :( We didn't bring our cameras. Yes, the phone! But we were too busy chitter-chattering. I want macarons! I'm sleepy...

... Everyone goes on a shopping frenzy! Yes EVERYONE! Girls are on a shopping high, and most guys (who don't usually shop) start shopping too. I mean... Who can blame this sort of behaviour? Every shop you walk into, there's a "SPECIAL", "SALE", "PROMOTION" tag. You get into the "Should I buy this" mode. You find yourself giving in to the temptations. Next thing you know, you're at the till paying for your item with a bigass smile on your face. :D haha. Ohhh, the sort of high you get from shopping. Am I right, girls?
