Update

Whoops! Just realised that I've neglected this little space a bit. :s

Anyway, here's just a little update of what I've been up to...

Since last week was Easter/ Mid-Session break, I did what every student would normally do.. TAKE A BREAK AND RELAX! Haha. Actually I also had plans to do some studying/ catch up on readings, but that obviously failed. Pretty much started doing and completing my assignment/ homework on Saturday (2 days before going back to uni.) Sigh.. The power of procrastination. haha

So, last Tuesday I made my way up to Blue Mountains with a couple of friends. I stayed for a night and I must say I really enjoyed myself. Loved every part of it except the weather though. It was raining the whole day on Tuesday. Super cold and foggy. Spent most of my time indoors (though it's not really a complain). haha. I'm not an outdoor person, so bushwalking and all that isn't really my thing. I was pretty happy to skip that activity. :p We left on Wednesday (mid-day) and fortunately the weather cleared up. A couple of us made our way to Megalong Valley for brunch. I had the BEST steak pie there! Super yummy!
Are you drooling already? :p

Apart from Blue Mountains, I spent my holidays watching The Hills. I know.. Don't judge me. haha

Saturday came and it was time for brunch with my good old foundation friends! Had super yummy scones and tea for brunch at The Rocks. I can't remember the name of this cosy place (shall find out soon) but I'll defo pay a visit again.
Rachel and I

How cute are these teapot warmers?

Random deco which gives this place character.

Love the fairy lights.

Assortment of plain, maple, raisin and cheese scones

And this brings us to today. Passed up a Finance assignment and did a class test. *runs victory lap* Now let's just hope I did well. haha

Got home and I saw this package for me. Another Bowerhaus item :p

I say... Hello Disco Shiny Balls.

One item off my wish list. hehe

Such a good day! I'm feeling so happy! :))

For a Cause...

I just received my Sereni & Shentel Borneo Block Party Regal Purple Headband yesterday..

This Borneo Collection is in support of the Semembai Literacy Project. This project is an adult literacy programme designed for rural women. And 50% of the proceeds from the Borneo Collection would go to the project!

I'm loving the pua' inspired prints on this headband of mine! (:
with a simple bow

I chose the Block Party 'cos I was looking for something simple this time 'round. But looking at the website again.. I'm thinking of the Borneo Mandy Black. :p

I love how Sereni & Shentel gives back to their community.

Fashion with a cause.
Have a look at the Borneo Collection here.

Taking the time to blog

As some of you might know, the past week has been pretty hectic. But I'm not complaining (: Sometimes being busy makes me feel productive. (: Weird.. haha

I feel like I haven't updated my little space here in the cyber world. So, before I go back to working on Finance questions, I shall give you a lil update on what's going on.

I was blessed beyond words last week. Got 2 gifts out of the blues :)) Necklaces and bracelets! Oh joy!
Thanks Fara!

Super LOVE! :D

Oh, I taught my first class today! haha Didn't do as well as I expected :( Hopefully the students somehow managed to understand what I was trying to say. haha You know it's actually quite hard to explain simple interest and compound interest in words. In everyday language without getting technical?? LoL I have another class tomorrow. I shall improve myself for tomorrow. Hopefully as time goes by, I'll get the hang of it (:

That's about it I guess. haha. My weekend was spent in front of the computer typing out notes for my students. Rushing to finish my tutorial work. Nothing eventful.

I just realized that I haven't been baking for the past month or so. I want to bake!! I'm thinking about baking a rainbow cake. Or a different coloured- layer cake! Anyone with any good recipes to share? If you do please drop me a note! Thanks!! (:

My Charm Bracelet

I've got a big thing for charm bracelets. I've no idea why actually. Just 'cos they're girly and pretty I guess. hehe So today on the way back from uni, I passed by Thomas Sabo and Pandora in the city. I made a stop at both outlets. :)

Last month when Aunty No. 3 was here, she spoilt me silly with all the shopping and food :p Fun times! So anyway, when she was here I didn't accompany her to all the shopping trips she had. All mostly around the city anyway (QVB, Westfield, Castlereagh St. etc). But on that 1 day I didn't tag along, she came home with this...

She got me the double-leather bracelet 'cos she thought it was more suitable for younger girls. I'm still a 10-year old in her eyes :p haha And along came 2 charms she picked for me. Hmm..I think my Mom helped pick too. Cos my Mom choose the angel charm. I LOVE the charm! Too cute :))

Now I want to fill this bracelet up!

Since I didn't get a good look in the store today, I made sure I browsed through the collection online. Now these are my favourite few..
Silver Safety Chain
Charm Smiling Sunshine
Silver Charm, Pearl
Sterling Silver + 14 ct Gold Bag
Silver Charm, Enamel

These are my top picks. Should be visiting Pandora soon! :p

Are you girls as charm bracelet crazy as me? Or is it just me?

Images of charms are from Pandora at www.pandora.net

OWL

I've been jewellery-obsessed the past few months. I thought it was a short phase. But it looks like this obsession is here to stay! :p

Anyway, I've been hoping to get an owl necklace for quite some time now. I just find it fascinating. I mean... It's quirky.. and can definitely spark my boring ordinary outfits back to life!

The problem is...
I've seen so many owls out there. And to be honest, they all look the same sometimes. I wonder if they're all from Diva. haha

So a couple of weeks ago Aunty No. 3 spotted this at Lovisa.

I saw it and knew right away that I've to have it!
Look again...It's no ordinary owl. It has glasses, diamond eyes and layered leaves as its body.

LOVE.

Rapunzel

I just started a tradition and I think it'll be here to stay! Every month (from now on), the brother will bring me out for a movie. hahaha. 1 movie a month won't hurt his pocket I'm sure. Don't worry, I'm not that demanding. :p

So we managed to kick start the tradition with Tangled! haha. The brother was pretty sceptical about a Disney movie. Mind you, this guy watches sci-fi or action or whatever else most of the time and thinks chic-flicks (my kindda shows) are a waste of time -.- So I had to convince him that Tangled was going to be good. I kept telling him, "My friends said it was awesome :D"  Yes, with that big smile on my face. And whenever I could, I'll keep saying "Let's watch Tangled (x3)". I annoyed the crap outta him! hahaha. When it comes to dealing with the brother, you just got to be persistent.

I'm not sure why it only got released in Australia today, but you've GOT TO WATCH IT! Watch it in 3D if possible. Tangled will not disappoint you. It's a perfect family show. But wait, all Disney shows are family-friendly aren't they? haha.

Umm..I don't think I should tell you guys so much here. 'Cos then it'll be a spoiler for some of you. Just think funny, happy with loads of singing and fairy-tale ending. haha. I'm sure every girl out there would enjoy this movie. Don't be afraid to bring your boyfriend, husband, brother, male friend to watch with you. 'Cos they'll love it too. :))

One thing I managed to take away from Rapunzel is that we should all have dreams. Dreams lead us to our goals. With a goal in mind, we'll then be determined to achieve what we want and succeed. Like Rapunzel, she had a dream to watch the lanterns. Initially, she was forbidden by her evil 'mother'. But as the story unfolds and as opportunities arises, her dream came true. :)) So don't be afraid to dream, my friends! You'll never know what's in store for you. I'm a big dreamer. :p haha But don't dream ONLY. Work towards that dream of yours. :)

I want to watch it again! Who wants to go with me?? haha.

Speaking of Rapunzel, this gem here has caught my eyes!
From the Rapunzel Collection by Adeline herself. Check it out on her website here

Hope everyone is doing well! The weekend is coming! Can't wait. haha

Save or Splurge?

That's what I always ask myself when I'm about to purchase something.
Sometimes, making a decision takes forever. I've learned to ask myself this question at least 10 times before I walk to the counter (if in a shop) or click checkout (for online shopping). All in the hopes of spending wisely.

Lately, I've been thinking of getting a Twilly. A narrow scarf which can be used as a hair accessory or a scarf around your neck. Hermes has been famous for its Twillys. I, for one, cannot resist it at the moment.

Unfortunately, the price is a 'lil bit steep. :(

BUT I found a close substitute by Alainn via ThePopLook.

Silk Vs. Satin Silk.

Something tells me I should follow my brains. haha.

What should I do? Sigh. LoL

When It's the Holiday Season

... Everyone goes on a shopping frenzy! Yes EVERYONE! Girls are on a shopping high, and most guys (who don't usually shop) start shopping too. I mean... Who can blame this sort of behaviour? Every shop you walk into, there's a "SPECIAL", "SALE", "PROMOTION" tag. You get into the "Should I buy this" mode. You find yourself giving in to the temptations. Next thing you know, you're at the till paying for your item with a bigass smile on your face. :D haha. Ohhh, the sort of high you get from shopping. Am I right, girls?

OK, so here's something for you Jennifer Behr fans out there. Since, Christmas is around the corner, Jennifer Behr is having a discount! 30% off all items, ladies! Yes, you read that right! The discount code is SPARKLE. Just type that at checkout, and you'll receive that 30% off!

For those of you who do not know, Jennifer Behr headbands were made famous by the one and only Blair Waldorf. Most of the headbands spotted on Queen B in Gossip Girl is by Jennifer Behr.

Check out the website and see if anything tickles your fancy! ;)

Kara Ross

I've been on a roll for jewellery this past month. Don't worry, I'm sure this jewellery binge will pass. haha

I came across some of these pieces I really like. I think I'm into cuffs and statement necklaces for now. So bear with me...

All these are from Kara Ross

First up on my LIKE list.

Cityscape Cuff

Wide Hexagon Cuff

Narrow Hexagon Cuff

White Kabibi Shell Necklace

Roman Numeral Link Necklace
I REALLY like the Cityscape Cuff... BUT (there's always a but..) I don't think it'll be suitable for work, aye? People will think I'm dressing up for a casual-do or party. The Wide Hexagon Cuff looks more 'decent' for formal meetings don't cha think? haha

But, I think the White Shell Necklace will go really well with a nice work blouse ;)

Ok, that's my jewellery dose for the day!

Yay or Nay?

I found this on RevolveClothing..

Rachel Leigh Greta Bracelet in Gold / Rose Gold.

Yay or Nay?

I should ask the mother. I can tell her we can share... hehe

But I can guess the answer already.
"Not my style la"

Sigh... As I grow older (into a young lady), our style differs aye mommy? haha

Of Bangles and Cuffs

I have no idea why I'm going on an accessories craze at the moment. I find it weird. For the past few days, I've been saying NO to clothes, and YES to jewellery.

Am I showing signs of ageing or something? Wait... Older people like jewellery better?? Umm...Actually, I don't think so. I think EVERYONE (girls) in general likes jewellery. Just the matter of how much.

If you ask me, I have a couple of treasured pieces. But not many. Just 'cos I used to rather buy clothes with my money? haha. Times have changed aye?

So, maybe it's time to expand the collection. hehe. BUT in moderation I suppose. (:

Anyway, I've been surfing the net in-between studying time. Time for a 'break'. You see, 'cos QA screws my mind upside down!

I was on the CCSkye website and found a couple of things which looked good, so I decided to blog about it!

Gigi Cuff

Look at this! I'm actually lovin' this! This would look so good with a white dress and a floppy hat. Does my description sound like a beach holiday outfit? But girls, if you have this, don't bring it to the sea! Haha

CCSkye Deco Cuff

This would look good with a long-sleeved blouse (with sleeves folded up). Have your blouse tucked into your slacks, sky-high killer heels, and you'll be lookin FIERCE! haha.

But of course, you can dress this cuff down too, with a LBD for parties/ soirees.

Next on my list is...
Double wrap leather bracelet.

This piece would definitely bring some life to your casual put-together. Would be generally ideal for uni students like me who doesn't want to be too plain jane or too OTT.

CCSkye Double Wrap Bracelet

This looks pretty cool too! I would say this is one of the most versatile pieces. You can pair it off with jeans or even a dress.

Hope I gave some of you some gift ideas *ahem* hahaha. I kid.
But actually, if you're a big brother, and your 'lil sister happens to like these pieces, why not get her one of the above? Christmas is approaching and I'm sure her birthday is around the corner too! :P *BIG FAT HINT*

Ok, jokes aside, time for some rest now.
