Of Bangles and Cuffs

I have no idea why I'm going on an accessories craze at the moment. I find it weird. For the past few days, I've been saying NO to clothes, and YES to jewellery. 

Am I showing signs of ageing or something? Wait... Older people like jewellery better?? Umm...Actually, I don't think so. I think EVERYONE (girls) in general likes jewellery. Just the matter of how much. 

If you ask me, I have a couple of treasured pieces. But not many. Just 'cos I used to rather buy clothes with my money? haha. Times have changed aye? 

So, maybe it's time to expand the collection. hehe. BUT in moderation I suppose. (:

Anyway, I've been surfing the net in-between studying time. Time for a 'break'. You see, 'cos QA screws my mind upside down! 

I was on the CCSkye website and found a couple of things which looked good, so I decided to blog about it! 

Gigi Cuff

Look at this! I'm actually lovin' this! This would look so good with a white dress and a floppy hat. Does my description sound like a beach holiday outfit? But girls, if you have this, don't bring it to the sea! Haha

This would look good with a long-sleeved blouse (with sleeves folded up). Have your blouse tucked into your slacks, sky-high killer heels, and you'll be lookin FIERCE! haha. 

But of course, you can dress this cuff down too, with a LBD for parties/ soirees. 

Next on my list is...

Double wrap leather bracelet.

This piece would definitely bring some life to your casual put-together. Would be generally ideal for uni students like me who doesn't want to be too plain jane or too OTT.

This looks pretty cool too! I would say this is one of the most versatile pieces. You can pair it off with jeans or even a dress. 

Hope I gave some of you some gift ideas *ahem* hahaha. I kid.

But actually, if you're a big brother, and your 'lil sister happens to like these pieces, why not get her one of the above? Christmas is approaching and I'm sure her birthday is around the corner too! :P *BIG FAT HINT*

House of Harlow

I've been looking for a cuff for quite some time now. More of a statement kindda jewellery. 

So last Tuesday on the way home from my study session in uni, I stopped by the City. How convenient aye? Haha

Ran into Luxe which happens to be the only distributor for House of Harlow in Sydney. 

My eyes went wide open when I saw this...

The owner asked me to try it on.. Very smart this lady.. And I think she's Malaysian too.

And I knew I had to get this! :D

Nicole Richie has some other pretty amazing pieces too. 

I got my eyes on this too.. But due to budget constraints and promises made to someone special (: to spend wisely, I've decided that self control is key. haha

Her Summer 2010 Collection is very eye catching as well. She uses and plays with a lot of geometry. Brings fun and boldness together. But I must say, some of these pieces are too strong for me. 

Shopbob.com carries House of Harlow too. But the selection there isn't very big. It's good to go into a boutique to have a look at these pieces. Just because some bangles and cuffs come in different sizes. And you might actually want to see if it suits you.

I'm Nearly There

I'm getting lazy.. This is bad 'cos Quantitative Analysis isn't my strongest subject. The last week of lectures were pretty blurry. Umm...I didn't know what the lecturer was talking about. Phail...

My face was just blank the whole time! Thank God it was the last week of lectures. I remember being clueless for Business Statistics (Sem 1) ever since week 5. It was scary! I haven't a clue what was going on till week10??? And mind you, that was cos I had to do the assignment! AND exams were around the corner!!

Panic mode ON at that time I kid you not!

Anyway, better do some studying now...

Exams!

yeapp..so it's that time of the semester AGAIN!

The time that I study extra hard. When sleeping at 2 am isn't a taboo. Eye bags are as dark and visible as ever. Lots of hair falls off (scaryyy).. When even the small things irritate the crap outta me (I'm making it sound like PMS). haha

Finals are coming so soon. This Friday to be exact. At 8.45 am I'll be seating for my first paper. Yes 8.45 am! 

I've to adjust my sleeping habits again.

I find it strange that exam periods are the time ideas come up to me! It's so weird. I started this blog a day before my Finals for my first semester this year. 

Now, I have some idea to do something else. 

I want to try venturing into something new!

Won't tell what I want to do just yet. 

But a big hint is that I'll be going to a bead bar after exams! Haha. I wonder if I can materialise my ideas :S

ok. time to hit the books again.

I've been feeling rather sad these couple of days :(

Friends

Friends are so important.

Seriously if I didn't have a friend to talk to, I'll go crazy/ mental. 

Things are so not going my way right now... :(

But at least, I feel a tad bit less crappy.

After a Very Long Time

Woah..Haven't been on my own blog for a very long time. I think it's about to shut down on its own. I've been just uber busy with assignments, tests and everything else going on in uni. Yes, this is a life of a uni student I suppose. It's not surprising I think.

I've a Finance test on Thursday. My last test before the finals. Something which I've been dreading actually. I should be starting on some Quantitative Analysis work right now. But, I just can't seem to get my mind to it. How do I get into my QA mojo? Someone please help me! Integration, differentiation, multivariable calculus, etc. I'm NOT feeling it right now. Seriously.

Oh well, I shall get to it after this. No excuse. 

On a lighter note, I'll be attending a NIDA workshop tomorrow. Pretty pumped about what I'm gonna be learning there. I think I should be getting quite a bit out of the workshop. (: And I'm also a part of the committee putting this workshop together. So seeing everything go so smoothly thus far has given me a sense of accomplishment. haha It was good fun working with the other girls for the past few weeks.

On a whole different story now. 

If you know me well, I have a natural 'talent' for shopping. My parents call it the ability to spend money not my own or 'throwing their money into the river'. -.- It's not that bad actually. Please. But I must admit, it has gotten me into some trouble in the past. haha. Not anymore with constant reminders from loved ones (:

As you know, I'm a commerce student. Starting uni at the beginning of this year, I had a 'dream' of conquering the corporate world. I had things all planned out in my head. First, I'm gonna make sure I secure a graduate position at a bank (a well-known multi-national bank). I'm gonna receive all the training I can get there, and become a highly sort-after talent *fuhhhh* haha. C'mon...Let the girl dream. :P Then from there, I'll work my way up the corporate ladder. 

I'll be going to work or rather storming into my office (hahahaha) in a tailored suit, killer heels and a Chanel bag. Does this sound 'The Devil Wears Prada' to you? hahahaha

That's why my brother calls me a dreamer. But actually, my dream sounds a bit cliche don't you think? HAHA

Oh well, as the months pass my 'dream' is kindda shifting to a whole different direction. 

What's going on??? LOL

Now... I want to own a boutique. (See where I got this from? My 'talent')

I aspire to be an entrepreneur. (:

Perhaps start my own label/ line of handbags/ shoes one day.

Go on...Laugh..

You'll never know!

Let me dream! :D

You might see my label somewhere, someday. 

BUT...

It won't be called Tiffany or Tiffany's or anything with the name Tiffany.

hahahaha

I know that for sure.

Time to get back to reality. To being a student. To doing work.
