Vogue Fashion's Night Out

Vogue FNO was on last Thursday. Yes, I know.. I take agesss to update. This happens when I suddenly find myself in uni again. Homework starts piling up and the anxiety of tests/ exams comes creeping in again. This cycles continues until summer break comes!

So, it was uber awesome to have a mid-semester break last week! (:

I managed to attend FNO at the CBD. My partner in crime for the evening is non other than FARA!

The city basically just came to live that evening. If you didn't know, Sydney is just plain dead once the clock strikes 6. Ok, maybe except Thursday and Friday nights. But soooo many people came out that night despite the gloomy/ bad weather. It was raining slightly. I nearly called it off because of that.

It was also the first time FNO was held in Sydney. So yayy!!!

I managed to get a "Behind the Scenes" picture.

This must be one of the Vogue editors getting dolled up before the opening ceremony.

I also managed to watch 3 'mini' fashion shows. The reason for it being called mini is 'cos the runway was VERY short. haha

So here are some pictures!

This model looks a lil like Miranda Kerr don't cha think?

Ethnic chic look
One of my favourite looks
My favourite Loubies!

One reason why we love David Jones is 'cos they feed they're customers. (:

Free macaroons.

If you're wondering, I didn't buy anything that night!

I'm improving!!!
Self-control.

Fashion's Night Out

Today's the day.
Vogue Fashion's Night Out at Sydney CBD.

I'm still contemplating whether or not to go. It looks gloomy outside and I'm not sure if it'll rain soon. eeks!

I haven't been doing any serious work these past few days. Have to get some work done soon since uni resumes on Monday. Sigh.

But I've been enjoying my holidays so far!

Here's a goofy photo of me which Fara posted up on twitter. This was what we did after a meeting with Capital W a few days ago.

HAHAHA. Girls do this when they roam around Myers and David Jones!

This would be something I'd wear to Randwick Racecourse. For the Spring Carnival that is. Not wear that to an exam! hahahaha (For non-UNSW-ians, we go to the racecourse for exams..)

ok. I shall continue my debate on whether or not to go for FNO.

Btw, tomorrow is Hari Raya!

Yayy to those of you who are back home! (:

Of dresses and fancy things

I love this Lanvin dress.

Looks so preppy! Suitable for formal evening events.

Throw on a cardigan and you've dressed it down.

Pair it up with one of these Philippe Audibert.
or

Sigh.

Net-a-porter just brings me into the world of fashion fantasy.

Oh My!

One of the cousins would be getting married real soon. (:

I love weddings! The occasion is just so special!

BUT...
Preparing for an occasion like this can be really stressful. From the stories and updates I've been getting, the poor bride and her husband-to-be have so many things to take care of.

From the dress, to the invitation cards, wedding favours, cake, dinner menu, venue and the list just goes on and on and on...

I think that's why we have wedding planners. If you're too busy..Hire one. It'll save you all the stress and tension. But I actually like the idea of doing all these planning on your own. At least then your BIG DAY has your own personal touch! (:

So out of curiosity, I went on WGA (Wedding Guide Asia) today.

Don't get shocked please. I'm not planning my wedding! Haha It's still a wee bit early for me. I was just on the website to kepoh :P

Other than pretty wedding gowns, I was only interesting in topics relating to wedding favours and the wedding cake! hehe

Look at these! Looks yummmm

And if you're planning a wedding soon, please have wedding favours like these! :P
Too pretty (:

Ok...Now I'm hungry :P

Should I go look for food in the kitchen? hehe

Easy Days!

YESSSS!!!
Mid-sem break is finally here! I've been waiting for this one week break for too long I kid you not! Before I started uni earlier this year, my dad told me "Uni life is easy life la.."

Umm...whadda heck??? Easy life my foot! Which part of it is easy Mr. Yap? Am I missing something here? Or maybe...it was easy during your days..hehe

Thank God the subjects I took this sem required minimal assignments! pheww..I rather do tests than assignments. So time-consuming and stressful.

Oh well...I just have one assignment to pass up in Week 10. And some tests along the way. If I use my time wisely, I Think I'll be alright.

Ok enough. Stop talking about uni work please!

So this week...it's time for me to rest&relax. Not rest&rot. haha

The brother is away this weekend. Skiing it seems. The snow fields and I just don't get along. haha..I went skiing last year and I have a phobia now. Rather than skiing down the hill, I think I skidded down on my arse. Apart from it being an expensive sport, it's also painful!!!

Sorry la...but I'm not the sporty-type of person. So my body doesn't cooperate. HAHA

So last week the brother asked me if I wanted to tag along. I went "NO thanks!" So here I am, left behind. No one to argue with and insult for the weekend. hahaha

Thank God for the cousin! I foresee the oven being fully utilised and cake tins thrown all over the kitchen! hehe

Fun stuff!
