Update

Whoops! Just realised that I've neglected this little space a bit. :s

Anyway, here's just a little update of what I've been up to...

Since last week was Easter/ Mid-Session break, I did what every student would normally do.. TAKE A BREAK AND RELAX! Haha. Actually I also had plans to do some studying/ catch up on readings, but that obviously failed. Pretty much started doing and completing my assignment/ homework on Saturday (2 days before going back to uni.) Sigh.. The power of procrastination. haha

So, last Tuesday I made my way up to Blue Mountains with a couple of friends. I stayed for a night and I must say I really enjoyed myself. Loved every part of it except the weather though. It was raining the whole day on Tuesday. Super cold and foggy. Spent most of my time indoors (though it's not really a complain). haha. I'm not an outdoor person, so bushwalking and all that isn't really my thing. I was pretty happy to skip that activity. :p We left on Wednesday (mid-day) and fortunately the weather cleared up. A couple of us made our way to Megalong Valley for brunch. I had the BEST steak pie there! Super yummy!
Are you drooling already? :p

Apart from Blue Mountains, I spent my holidays watching The Hills. I know.. Don't judge me. haha

Saturday came and it was time for brunch with my good old foundation friends! Had super yummy scones and tea for brunch at The Rocks. I can't remember the name of this cosy place (shall find out soon) but I'll defo pay a visit again.
Rachel and I

How cute are these teapot warmers?

Random deco which gives this place character.

Love the fairy lights.

Assortment of plain, maple, raisin and cheese scones

And this brings us to today. Passed up a Finance assignment and did a class test. *runs victory lap* Now let's just hope I did well. haha

Got home and I saw this package for me. Another Bowerhaus item :p

I say... Hello Disco Shiny Balls.

One item off my wish list. hehe

Such a good day! I'm feeling so happy! :))

After Months...

After months of not touching my baking utensils...

I FINALLY brought my baking game ON!

Nothing spectacular.. I just baked my simple but yummilicious vanilla cupcakes.
But this time 'round with a twist. I added some dark chocolate swirls to it.

Definitely a favourite now. (:

My brother was particularly happy. I haven't baked it..come to think of it 3 months. So he was just happy he finally got some home-made sweet treats.

Before pulling these outta the oven... I was known as the 'retired baker'. haha

Now, I'm back to being 'The Baker".

Hope all you lovelies are enjoying the Easter break! (:
Happy Easter!

Yayy!

This week was the craziest ever in the history of my uni life. My workload was beyond manageable!

I spent so much time here...
UNSW Main Library

Reading things like these..
They're my notes if you're wondering. haha

3 mid-sem exams in a week (2 of which were today). After 2 papers, I came home wanting to sleep. But no... I realised that I've an online finance quiz to complete before 12 midnight. So I dragged myself to the study table to look through my work and answer the questions.

Now here I am... Like FINALLY! I survived my week. Full of ups and downs. There were times where I wanted to cry and pull my hair and run away from everything. But thank God. He pulled me through.

Pheww.. Tonight I can sleep in peace and for once.. Wake up late tomorrow and not worry about things for a few days. Before I start banging my head left, right and centre for my finance assignment due in week 9. eeks!

Oh well, I'll enjoy while I can. (:

Before I sign off... Here's a picture of what I had for lunch today. Random I know.. But this gozleme that I found at uni (Matthews Food Court) was pretty yummy!

And surprise! hehe

Will share about this soon.

A Reminder

I just read Nazneen's post about how her car window got smashed and her bag got snatched. A very unfortunate thing to have happened to her. Poor girl! :(

So this serves as a reminder to all my girlfriends back home and also to myself.
BE ALERT AT ALL TIMES! And if you can, avoid driving alone at night

Thank God you're safe, Nazneen. Hope you're not too traumatised.

Take care everyone!

Where to eat?!

Does this question always bug you?
"Where do you want to eat?"
Usual response/ reply..
"I don't know. Anywhere."

My brother recently celebrated his 23rd. So a couple of days before his birthday I asked him where did he want to have his birthday dinner. This was because I had to make reservations and what nots. So, I had to ask him the question above. And as usual, I got the expected answer. Sigh.

Thank God for eatability.com. This website is like a food review forum. Just refine your search to the area you want to dine at, and what cuisine you want and you'll get a number of different restaurants popping up. Read the reviews, look at the average score and take your pick.

I asked my brother to do just that, and we (with the cousins) ended up at WaQu in Crows Nest.

Sorry for not having pictures of the interior WaQu. The lightings were pretty dim and I only had my ipod touch camera with me. So the pics turned out pretty crappy. But just so you know, the interior design isn't very artsy fartsy. It's on the minimalist side of things, but very classy.

Nonetheless, I got pictures of my food. hehe
Basil sorbet with kara-age prawns and yuzu yoghurt
Chilled corn soup with prawn consomme jelly
Sashimi 3 way
WaQu Aquarium
Wagyu beef
Dessert. Forgot the name. But...
It was something with ice cream and rosehip soup
Strawberry cheese birthday cake!

I really enjoyed my meal and WaQu. I bet everyone else did. The service was pretty good too. (: Definitely a place to go again if you ask me.

For a Cause...

I just received my Sereni & Shentel Borneo Block Party Regal Purple Headband yesterday..

This Borneo Collection is in support of the Semembai Literacy Project. This project is an adult literacy programme designed for rural women. And 50% of the proceeds from the Borneo Collection would go to the project!

I'm loving the pua' inspired prints on this headband of mine! (:
with a simple bow

I chose the Block Party 'cos I was looking for something simple this time 'round. But looking at the website again.. I'm thinking of the Borneo Mandy Black. :p

I love how Sereni & Shentel gives back to their community.

Fashion with a cause.
Have a look at the Borneo Collection here.

Brunch at Bills!

Hey there lovelies!
I hope the week has been treating you good. I for one was and still is on busybee mode. But so far, all is still good! Hope it's the same on your end.

This is probably stale news. haha But I'll still share it here on my blog. After months and months of saying "I want to go to Bills for brunch!!!" I finally made it there last Friday with a very good friend. Made my way to Woollahra, got lost on the way (so embarassing! I've no sense of direction) and then finally got food in front of me!

Bills is MY FAVOURITE brunch spot now. I LOVE their ricotta hotcakes! Super yumm! And not to mention, my rosehip and mint punch was also very refreshing.

Will be heading back sometime soon to try other things on their menu. :))

For now, I leave you pictures. haha

If you're ever in Sydney, do pop by Bills. One word. Amazing. (:

I Screamed OMG!

Whoops! I meant to give an update earlier, but work has definitely taken a whole chunk of my time. So much so that I actually feel very exhausted already. Seeing that it's just Tuesday and it's not even 10 pm yet, I think I'm in a bit of trouble. "Burn Out" alarm is starting to ring. So, I decided that I'll give myself a rest tonight and just do what I want to (other than reading/ studying). Ok enough ranting.

So last Wednesday, I saw myself in Acer Arena together with a couple of thousand other screaming fans at Usher's OMG Tour. Acer Arena was at capacity and everyone was enjoying every second of Usher's performance. His concerts are NOT in any way over-rated I assure you. If he pops by your city, be sure to make your way there! He'll blow your mind!!!

He performed a solid 2 hours and 15 mins that night. Sang his heart and soul and danced like how you see him 'doing-his-thing' in video clips. His moves are still TOO SMOOTH! I was a screaming fan that night. Even my cousin gave me the "dude, relax" look. haha Excuse her, I think I was screaming into her ear :p

So anyway, here are some photos I managed to snap! So glad I got pretty good seats which were relatively near. Thanks daddy :p haha

I've still got OMG on replay ;)

Have a great week ahead guys!
